Hey y'all.

I'm bouncing between the PSE Bow Madness XS and the Mathews S2.

The PSE retails at $499, has a 28 1/2" axle-to-axle length, IBO speed of 316-308, and a weight of 3.7 lbs.

The Mathews S2 (Switchback 2) retails at $759, has a 33" axle-to-axle length, IBO speed of 318 max, and a weight of 4.25 lbs.

Both have great reviews. Smooth, steady.. Obviously the Mathews is a favorite among most. I'm just wondering if it's worth paying the near $300 more, for a longer axle-to-axle length. Myself, being 5'2" and a 25" draw length (will be pulling 50# with these). I have heard perks on longer lengths versus shorter lengths for petite hunters such as myself.

Any opinions? All would be appreciated :-) Any other options I should look at? I won't be purchasing until August. Have a long time to make that choice.

I would love to go with the PSE, but I'm nervous about everyone saying that I need the longer axle to axle length. There is nothing longer in the PSE that I can actually afford, except for the Bow Madness that is still 50# and 25"

The shot is more forgiving. And after shooting two different bows to compare two days ago, I have to agree. I like an axle about 32". Not to mention, the 28 1/2" A2A with the BMxs just.. felt.. weird. I also shot the Bow Madness, but didn't really prefer it over the Redhead Toxik that I shot. Toxik is a 32 5/8" A2A. Felt great.

I want to shoot the Diamond Stud... The Black Ice is pretty darn sweet too, but didn't shoot it. The draw starts out at 26". I saw one all decked out while I was at Bass Pro the other day and nearly started salivating.

I have also heard that the Redhead Toxik and the Diamond Stud are pretty much the same bow -- except the Stud already has the string suppressor on it. However, I have a string suppressor and a stabilizer tallied in with my price for the Toxik already. Still less than a Stud.
