several companies offer dense shade plot kits, no till just rake out the leaves and shake out the bag. If you get a little rain might do some good, I believe every little bit helps the animals and it might slow them down for you to make a shot.

i hunt i in a pine thicket with alot of undergrowth & just a few hardwoods would it be a waste of time to plant a plot in the few openings we have

I got over 10 inches of rain from "IKE" and can't even tell it. Tried to disc my oat field yesterday-- mostly dust. I don't think I'm gonna get them planted this year, still no rain in the forecast. Need something though all the acorns got blown out of the trees(the ones still standing) and won't have anything to hold the deer on my little patch.

Hello, everyone. I'm Jamie and I am a proffessional fisherman and Real Estate agent in South Carolina. I am glad to see people talking about land because most of my business is hunting land and farms. I look forward to learning alot from you guys and hopefully adding some helpful discussion as well. This should be fun.

Well it looks like all the Texans finally got some rain. That'll make it a little easier to think about a fall plot or two.
