Raymond, put the rifle on the bench sand bag it tight, pull the bolt and sight down through the barrel and center the bulls eye in the center of the barrel @ 25 yards, then adjust the scope reticles to that location, this will get you on paper at 100 yds and then adjust from there. If this does not work, send the scope back to Leupold and they will correct whatever is wrong with the scope. It will do you well for prairie dogs and other small varmits!

This all new outfit. I used lock tight blue for the mounts nothing is loose. I send the scope back to Leupold to have the recticle changed from heavy to . Before I did that was right on at 100 yards. With the heavy plex wasn't good for a longer shot over 100 yards. i'm hoping to use this for varmant hunting. I have a friend that is an out door righter. He said the bore sighter may be off. So going to use the bore sighter on a rifle that is right on and then try to set problem scope in same spot. I bought this rifle for target shooting hopefully small game. Since bullets are so much cheaper then the 308 or my 243 to cut paper.

I have a Savage model 11 223 caliber with Leupold vx11 3x9x40. I can't hit paper with it at 50 yards. I had it bore sighted. Any ideas.I'm using 55 grain Remington target ammo too
