I have just returned from a Great hunt here in Oregon and I had an experience there that I would like to pass on to all of the Zone members. While hunting some of Oregon's vast public land I ran into a group of hunters that didn't like me hunting in the same area that they were, and didn't like me camping where I camped. I have hunted this same spot for several years and have never had such a horific experiance. My Son and I got to watch these people road hunt all over the place. When they did… Continue

- i heard that they had a shed at the sportsman shot that was prolly 3-4 foot long and just a spike with a bend in it kind of like an L and it had 2 big knobs on it. i would like to get a bull but i get the first leagle animal i see, but i will get my chance. last year we followed bull tracks down a hill and ended up loseing them, came back the next day and there was a guy that talked to my grand pa shot a 4 point right up the road from where we came out. but we ended up shoting 2 cows id rather have 2 elk to split between 5 people than 1 so it worked out.

- Congrats to both of you on the little one!!!!! I hope that your "busy" is with good paying jobs. We have been very busy as well. The store is still growing even after 3 years. I saw your Mom in the store yesterday and I saw Avon in the store tonight. I sure enjoy visiting with them. My car wreck from back in June is still slowing me down but I am still out there hunting and filming. I got both my elk and my buck this year and I got on film, my Daughter harvesting an Oregon whitetail with her muzzleloader. Not a big deal if you live in a state that has whitetail, but we don't have very many in Oregon yet. I will be filming two teenage young ladys hunting ducks in Eastern Oregon between Christmas and New Years. Right after New Years I have a chukar hunt, a goose hunt and a duck hunt all in Central Oregon and with teenage kids to film. I think that will be all of the filming until April when we start with a couple of youth turkey hunts. One in eastern and one in western Oregon. Please tell your Wife Hi from all of us. My archery season was short. My wife and I were expecting our 3rd child that was trying to be born earlier during archery season. I passed on a 5x5 bull and came home early. Our son was born on October 1st. Healthy baby! I thank the Lord for that!
My buddies son harvested his first elk which was a 5x5 bull. There was good bugling for the rut this year which made it fun. I think that I will hunt in Idaho next year!
