Damn son that's a nice bull! The season is coming to a close for me been a good year I can still move around and go hunting. I pulled a 4x4 mule deer from 18B the pic is a 5x5 in 5B South that I got in Sept. bow season. He ran into a couple of trees and broke a tine but has been repaired. Again nice bull man...Have a good Christmas and talk to you soon..

Geoff, How is your hunting going so far? I passed on some smaller bulls and I had two hunters spook a herd bull that was 30 yards away coming in on the run. They were cow calling up wind of the bull when he spun and ran away and his cows blew out of there so fast it wasn't funny. When I asked them why they were calling up wind of the animal they said that they never though about that. Here's your sign!

Finally got out there for the first time yesterday. Had three deer walk in on us, but couldn't get the crossbow to fire. Not really sure what is going on with it, but sure my husband will get it figured out so I can get one next time. I will definately have to take something out with me next time so that I don't get so bored waiting on them.

Am staying close to home this year during most of the season(s). Zone A travel takes me far, far, away. Bow season begins the 15th here and I have been keeping eagle eyes on a couple of local herds. Most clients have drawn in the General D and X Zones so close to home makes it nice ( also, can keep up on my local fishing spots in the down time).

Geoff, That blacktail is awesome! It probably is the largest mature blacktail that I have seen. I prefer to archery hunt. I would rifle hunt if that tag had more mature animals to hunt. I am going up to Coure d'Alene Idaho in August which is next to Spokane Washington., Isn't that the M2D headquarters? I would like to see the camo clothes before I would buy them.

Geoff, I just might take you up on that mule deer hunting! That sounded like a nice blacktail to score 110" and be a forky! so, tell me about M2D camo! Isn't it time you start deceiving Mother Nature? Good slogan! Very catchy! I was impressed with the pictures too! I am very picky when it comes to my archery clothes. Besides having a great pattern they must also be very quiet! Quiet to me is not quiet to others. I remember being 16 years old and spooking a herd of elk 20 yards away because the type of material I was wearing made a scratchy noise when it rubbed against a tree limb. Hard lesson learned after stalking for a long time and distance!

Geoff, How did you do Blacktail hunting? We have great Blacktail hunting here in Oregon! I am a sucker for a big, mature mule deer! You can even throw in a drop tine or two???
I scouted a new area this weekend and found another herd of elk. We'll see what becomes of it? Have you found any new mature bulls?
