Doesn't that just drive you crazy?! Let's go through the process of elimination..... Your arrows should be spined fine for your set-up, and it sounds like your center-shot is at least pretty close to being perfect (I don't know what rest your using) but I'm assuming that you're not getting any fletching contact. After trying a few different (spine tolerance) arrows and getting the same results (left tear), then it quite possibly might be a torque issue at the shot. Usually a left tear when everything else seems to be correct is what you get from a left handed shooter. So, if you're a right handed shooter that would seem a little uncommon buy not totally out of the question depending on how your bow acts when shot. Cam lean is also another possibility, or proper bow stabilization. What type of stabilizer is on your bow now, if any? When you said that your and another guy had the same results through paper, and another guy 'gripped' the riser and got a bullet h***, does seem to indicate the possibility that it could be some type of torque issue, or a combination of torque and something else. Just how bad is the tear? I wouldn't let a 1" tear bother me so much as long as your walk-back tune is good and the arrows are tracking perfectly straight sticking straight into the target. 2" or longer tears and some more adjustment/tuning needs to be done somewhere. I have had quite a few bows that simply would not paper tune perfectly, but still shot just fine. That's why I don't put a whole lot of stock in paper tuning. Too many variables involved. It's always nice to get that perfect bullet h*** from several different distances, but it isn't always all that necessary. Some bows just won't paper tune no matter what you do. The Monster is a pretty aggressively shooting bow, so even if you have the proper spine, you still might need to amp up the total arrow's weight a little bit. You said that you bow is maxed out at around 60# +. Have you tried dropping the draw weight by a few pounds and shooting the same arrow through paper and see what that does? I can see by your profile info that you're no stranger to shooting/working on bows so just keep plugging away and you'll get it. Let me know what you come up with once you do. And thanks for the great selection of tunes while I'm typing this!!

Hi Jason, Yes all the deer were taken in Maryland. I have a few other big ones that I am not able to down load because I did not have a digital camera at the time. I killed a awesome dark horned heavy 8pt last week but I have not up loaded his pics yet. And all the deer you see were taken with a bow,

I'm n about the same boat as you, Jason. I've thought about getting into the string making business and even have a few guys that are good at it that could tutor me along the way. But the price of the equipment needed, along with the seemingly endless amount of string colors and different string materials, it just wouldn't be too cost effective for me to get into it. I have guys that make me really nice strings at around $50 a set too, so I figure I'll just leave the string making up to 'the pros',,,,,,,,,,,, :o)

Dang! Must be nice to see that many deer at once. The only time I see that many deer at once is on tv. If I see 2 in a week I feel lucky.
