I love to hunt and have not had a good hunt yet. Would love to have a hunt that i could talk a bout. For the past 2 years now I have been with out a Job and for the money I have spend to hunt here in MI, I should have something to talk a bout I hunt state Land do to not have knowing any one that would have me hunt with them on privet land I need to know what I'm doing wrong I own a Mathews ultra max , A Remington Genesis muzzle loader A 20GA Remington 870 express A 22. Marlin, A RWS Pellet gun. Small game is one thing like rabbits and squirrel in I have killed and have Eaten . This year i have a Combo Permit a doe permit and a turkey Permit so far nothing last year I shot a doe the last day of Muzzle loader she had 3 legs and you could smell her from 40 yards a way the smell was vomit worthy all the meet was bad and she had been the worst deer I have ever seen now don't get me wrong I have shot deer but they all have been calmed by other hunters or gone an privet land and calmed land owner one year a bout 3 years a go i found out my 20 GA was shooting low to the left I found that out by missing a deer at 8 yards that is why a bout the Remington Genesis. I say all this to say I need a Good successful Hunt Ive been hunting on the ground do to the fact I do not have a JOB and that I hunt State Land could you take me out on a real Good Successful hunt I'm willing to learn how to be a better hunter would love to pass this Passion on to my son he is 3 and loves to watch hunting but he asked me why don't I have a deer. I'm 30 years old male who needs to have a GOOD SUCCESSFUL HUNT. Can you Help ME PLEASE.
Hey Mike. I recently watched your elk hunt at Vermejo Park. What an exciting time! I have a question about the elk processing. How did they attach the strap or whatever to the elk so that they could pull the hide off? We process real similar to this on the ranch I hunt on. I've had elk that close before myself.

So mike is there a point were you get tired of hunting and it becomes more a job then fun? or are you one of the few people that just love the sport so much it dosent matter what your doing its just fun?

God knows I miss the ranch! The memories of your whole family and growing up there are gold, however.
I'm living in St. Clair these days, working in Belleville. I'll be in F-----l hunting opening day, though. Hunting with my best bud from high school.
