A Call To Fall

This morning, our church did a special service dedicated to Christians serving their role in the world today; according to our nation, our states, our families, and our relationships with God. This generation should be serving as God's hands... "I wanna be your hands, I wanna be your feet. I'll go where you send me."

This excerpt was written on the back of our bulletin this morning and really touched me. I wanted to share it with all the people I know.

A CALL TO FALL IN HUMBLE PRAYER
Sunday, July 5, 2009

America needs change. Yet the change we need does not come from Washington or Wall Street. It comes from God. It begins with God's people praying to him for the change we need:

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will HEAL their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)

God promises real change - spiritual healing for our souls and our land - if we will simply humble ourselves in repentant prayer before Him.

Please join churches nationwide today for the "Call to Fall" on our knees. This call is nothing new. It follows many biblical and historical examples that led to a national spiritual revival.

"We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws." (Daniel 9:5)

God prescribes a very specific type of prayer that is a necessary prerequisite to healing and renewal. He calls on us to fall to our knees before Him and take responsibility for the state of our nation by confessing our corporate and individual sins.

Our government today was creating in God's teachings. Amidst the obvious troubles of our nation, we must understand that the fate of the nation, of the nation's future.. Our families, and their futures.... It is in the hands of Today's Christians. We confess, and we pray.. We pray for our nation's leaders, and we defend and support those God-fearing leaders of our nations. We pray for our families and our churches, for our children and their lives and their minds.

I hope this excerpt, and these ideals, touch and inspire you today as they touched and inspired me this morning. :)

It's just too bad nobody stops and thinks that what they do affects more than their "inner circle" of family. If everybody helped just a few people that really need it, we'd all be alot better off.
