amanda when you shoot leave your hand open and after you release let the bow fall into your hand. you will not drop it because of your wrist strap. my farthest shot on a whitetail was 62 yard and that is as far that i will shot. it take alot of practice to shoot from that distance. it took me about 2 years before i even atemped that shot, but with where you are hitting the target at 40, i would say you are ready. one other thing remember that you might want to aim a little lower on a live deer because they will duck the arrow from the sound of the bow at that distance. let me know if you get one at that distance.
decent @ 40 yards. Try keeping your hand closed when you shoot it might help your grouping. But other then that still great shooting. Im set up for 15 to 30 yards. I never tryed shooting from 40 but i just might now.
Yeah I saw that too when I watched this. (another good reason for recording myself shooting -- find faults)..
I have a sling but my hand is too small... Need to get one custom-made, or find one smaller that would actually help in that situation.
Until then, I'm trying to grab a bit lighter.
Hey Amanda do you have sling on your bow if so when you shoot you are grabing the bow as soon as you release either leave your hand open if you have a sling or lightly close your hand. When you grab your bow at release it hurts your groups, so try not to change your grip at release it will make your grops smaller, for every action theres a reaction.
